Pointe of Grace Dance Company provides instruction in a variety
of dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Step, HipHop, Modern,
and Lyrical. Training in the art of dance provides discipline
and builds self-confidence and creativity.
Our ballet and jazz programs are offered to children
as early as age three (see "Pre-Dance
Program) and the studio provides dance training for all levels
of experience from beginner to advanced. Adult classes in Jazz
and Ballet are also available.
Competitive Team
Our competitive program allows students who have attained a high
level of technical ability to compete in local and regional competitions.
Placement into this program is by audition or teacher selection
only.
Please see our announcement
page for our 2007/2008 notable awards.
Being a member of the Pointe of Grace Competitive
Team means commitment and dedication from both students and parents.
The hectic schedule involved in choreographing our routines, rehearsing
them and then bringing them to competition requires quite a bit
of flexibility on the part of our families. We, as directors,
understand this and will keep every one on the team informed of
all upcoming events and practices and get you the information
as quickly as it is available.
Students on the competitive team should not miss
classes without informing one of the Directors and all attempts
should be made to miss no more than 3 classes (in any discipline)
through the year.
We have a great team at POG and we look forward
to a fun-filled and successful year.

Ballet Training
We strongly recommend ballet for all dancers and are pleased to
offer ballet instruction in preparation for Cecchetti ballet exams.
Open House
We invite all of our families to an open house after the Christmas
Break. This gives parents an exciting opportunity to view their
child's progress.
Recital
Our annual recital is a wonderful opportunity for our students
to demonstrate the results of their hard work and talent. This
show is usually held at the end of May or early in June. The performance
is done at a professional theatre in the Ottawa area.
